Why are there so few black head coaches in college football?

I read this article where blacks are 50% of college football players but the head coaches are only 3 percent. I guess this is why we have affirmative action. Why are there so few black head coaches in college football?
Why is their so much race stuff on here? Athletic directors are looking for the most qualified person to lead their football team, be a good recruiter, and connect with the fans. Black, white, purple, green, they dont care about color, just the best man for the job. Besides, per NCAA rules, they have to interview at least one minority candidate for the job. So there. Why are there so few black head coaches in college football?
This is a real issue. People stop acting like racism and bigotry don't exist because if the roles were reversed you would be making a loud uproar yourself. For one, to the idiot that said '; why aren't there any white running backs'; Talent is the only answer I can think of. Right now there just aren't any white backs that are being produced with that amount of speed, quickness, and agility. It takes a lott more than pumping iron in your basement listening to green day. Secondly, I am highly offended by the notion that blacks should shut up just because we have a mere six coaches in the NFL. Lets talk about how many were passed up for other positions. Its great that we have those coaches but that is just to open doors for other coaches who are minorities. Now as far as college goes there are many other factors that go on in the process of choosing a coach. I wish it was just on the basis of recruiting and whether or not u can relate to players and have a sound knowledge of the game. Unfortunately its not though colleges have alumni and boosters that influence these decisions and since they donate money to the school which really means the athletic program. The people in charge of hiring must fall in line. So until this society is not dominated by people with money who are threatened by a minority in a position of power this problem will continue to exist. The other issue is that most times the jobs that come open are for bad programs and the coach isn't given a lot of time to build the program up so there is a high turnover rate for these programs. Besides that the bottom line is for many of the high profile jobs blacks are getting passed up and its not fair. And if you think otherwise your part of the problem
Dumbass there are black head coaches in the NFL which is higher up than college so quit your bitching and stop worrying about race and sports when most of the players are black how in the hell is that affirmative action????

Romeo Crennel-Cleveland Browns

Tony Dungy-Indianapolis Colts

Herman Edwards-Kansas City Chiefs

Lovie Smith-Chicago Bears

Marvin Lewis-Cincinnati Bengals

Mike Singletary- San Fransisco 49ers

That's 6 coaches right there out of 32 teams that's 5.3%

No pitbull it's 5.3% 6 x 5.3 is around 31 get your math straight dog

Pitbull are you SERIOUS, did you even go to the first grade??? do 6x5.3 in your calculator and you'll get 31.8 and also do 32/6 which is 5.3 not 18 where in the world are you getting 18 from???? retard

If it's 18% then that means 6 goes into 32 18 times 6x18=108 you're a friggin retard
Why are there no white running backs in the NFL?

p.s this wasent a serious question, but im sick of seeing these race questions keep coming up, in the end its about talent.. not the color of the skin. i dont judge a player because hes white, black, indian whatever.. its how well they play the game.

Stop being RACIST, they had this conversation on ESPN.. its an easy answer.. there are just FEWER blacks that want to be headcoach's in college football.
how come I never hear anything about black coaching numbers in college baseball , softball , tennis , golf , gymnastics , volleyball , track , lacrosse , or any other sports? why do they only bring up football????

pick your battles , win a war !! huh?
6 out of 32 is more than 5%.. it is around 18...
